We build systems intended to endure oversight.

BAUW is a systems design and engineering firm. We work with government agencies, defense programs, and prime contractors on platforms that must operate reliably under constraint, scrutiny, and long-term accountability.

Philosophy

Most system failures are design failures.

Not code bugs. Not infrastructure outages. The failures that cost programs quarters — not hours — come from decisions that were never explicitly made.

Scope Before Sprint

Every system starts with documented ownership, integration contracts, and explicit failure modes. Ambiguity is a defect.

Decisions as Artifacts

Architectural rulings are recorded with rationale and trade-off analysis. When the question is 'why,' the answer is findable.

Integration as Discipline

External connections are contracts — versioned, tested, monitored. Not assumptions validated in production.

Oversight as Requirement

Systems designed for audit from day one. Not retrofitted for compliance after the build.
